The BIG White House
13 years ago, a thriving antique store in Anoka, MN called The Artique had a curveball thrown at them
when they lost their lease and had to close down or move locations. The only option for the owners was
to move, they loved the shop too much to say goodbye to it. So the hunt began.
After a long search, they realized that the perfect place was right in front of them all along… the vacant
Colonial Hall Mansion on the corner of 3 rd St S and Monroe Ave. After meeting with the Historical Society
and the Anoka Masonic Lodge (the owners of Colonial Hall at the time), the deal was done and it was
time to move in! In November 2004, The Artique moved from its old location on Jackson Street to
Colonial Hall and began its journey towards becoming what is now known as The BIG White House!!!
The Artique changed its name to The BIG White House in 2014 when one of the co-owners retired and
the business became soley owned by Debbie Mucklow. At that time Debbie took her vision of mixing old
and new and had it come to life! The BIG White House is now known for its home décor, furniture and
giftable items as much as it is for its vintage, antiques and collectables.
Fantastic customer service, affordable prices, quality furniture hand-painted painted furniture,
repurposed items, farmhouse décor… these are just a few of the things you’ll find at The BIG White
House. Your house can look like a million bucks without spending it.

*Open 7 days a week from 10am-6pm.
*A family ran business with 12 dealers that occupy the 2 nd level of the shop.
*In the summer months, The BIG White House hosts The Two Rivers Vintage Outdoor Flea Markets in
the front and side yards of the shop (more info below).
*In the winter months The BIG White House hosts several open houses.
*The BIG White House is proud members of the ACHS and Discover Anoka Merchant Group.
*Colonial Hall is on the Anoka Haunted Walking Ghost Tour.
*The BIG White House has 3 booths at the April and September Junk Bonanza shows in Shakopee.
*The BIG White House occupies the entire band shell at The Cambridge Antique Show in August.

Two Rivers Vintage Outdoor Flea Market Hosted by The BIG White House:
2017 marks the 12 th year of flea markets at The BIG White House. Always on the second Saturday of
each month, May- September from 9am-5pm, these flea markets are a must see, must shop event. 25+
vendors fill the entire yard of The BIG White House selling all types of great finds. Vintage, home décor,
upcycled, repurposed, furniture, jewelry, collectables, garden junk and so much more.
Since you’re already visiting the flea market, make sure to stop inside the shop and enjoy a storewide
sale. Receive 20% off almost everything (excludes items marked “sale” or “firm”) on each of the flea
market dates.
