SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY – Saturday, November 30th

It’s an authentic Hometown Holiday, complete with hayrides, carolers, Santa, special events and the kind of friendly customer service with a personal touch that you won’t find anywhere else.

Anoka Tree Lighting Event from 3 pm–7 pm at Anoka City Hall Plaza (1st Ave N). Hosted by the Anoka area Chamber of Commerce. Bring your family, friends and holiday spirit for this fun and festive hometown event. Come to historic downtown Anoka and join in as all c-o-u-n-t-d-o-w-n to light up the official City Christmas Tree in front of Anoka City Hall in the Plaza and enjoy horse-drawn trolly rides, festive holiday music, bonfires to keep you warm and toasty and even Santa and Mrs. Claus too! Food and merriment will abound to bring back memories of an old-fashioned Christmas.

Schedule of Events

3:00 pm – Lighting of Bonfires

3:00 pm – Festive holiday music sets the scene

3:00 – 7:00 pm – Food vendors serving up goodies!

3:00 pm – Santa Claus ARRIVES! Mrs. Claus will be there too!

3:00 – 7:00 – Visit Santa and Mrs. Claus in the Santa shack (FREE)

3:00 – 7:00 pm – Horse drawn trolley rides (FREE)

5:55 pm – Welcome to Anoka, Mayor – Phil Rice

5:59 pm – C-O-U-N-T-D-O-W-N to the tree lighting

6:00 pm – Tree lighting

Until 7:00 pm – Bonfires and music continue along with horse drawn trolley rides.

Also….at the tree lighting, Toys for Joy of Anoka County will be giving away a free toy
to children up to the age of 10, while supplies last. Toys for Joy will be accepting new,
unwrapped gifts at their Tree Lighting Event booth. The toys assist those in need in
Anoka County for the holidays. Gifts are most needed for ages 12-18. For more information
